Where can I have my luggage repaired?

You may search for authorized repair centre of the brand to repair your luggage. Terms of different brands may vary. Please kindly refer to the terms on the warranty card.

What is covered under the warranty on my bag?

Warranty of most brands only cover manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme environment and tear or transport damage.

Non-warranty maintenance or repairs on luggage may void this warranty.

How can the warranty be valid?

The user may be requested to produce the warranty card and the purchase invoice as a proof of valid warranty. Please keep the warranty card and the purchase invoice along with the luggage.

What is the maximum liability to the company?

The manufacturer's liability for damages is restricted to the repair or replacement of the defective piece only for most of the brands.

Can the bag be repaired even after the warranty period lapsed?

You may be able to repair your luggage after the warranty period. Please contact your service centre of your luggage brand for futher information.

Can I take my bag in the cabin of an aircraft?

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) sets guidelines for cabin baggage/hand luggage/carry-on luggage size. They are not mandatory, however, and individual airlines can and do vary their requirements. The IATA guideline states:

Cabin baggage should have a maximum length of 56 cm ( 22 in ) , width of 45 cm ( 18 in ) and depth of 25 cm ( 10 in ) including all handles , side pockets , wheels etc.

Most low-cost airlines have smaller limits for the cabin baggage where one bag is commonly allowed at a size of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. Still the maximum weight differs widely in the range of 5 kg to 12 kg. A second bag is mostly not allowed for low-cost travel.
